DIRECTOR, WRITER & PRODUCER FROM EL SALVADOR.
I'm a director, writer and producer from El Salvador. I make theater that borrows from cinema and films that borrow from the stage, chasing the depth of one and the dynamic energy of the other.
In 2016 I founded Black Coyote, where we've turned clothing stores and unconventional spaces into theaters because nobody told us we couldn't, made films in a country nobody thought made films, and built every production the same way: from scratch, made to run once, never repeated, always with Salvadoran artists, the veterans and the first timers.
The goal hasn't changed: make people feel something they can't shake on the drive home.
This site is where I keep all of it. The productions, the photography I shoot when I'm chasing light instead of a deadline, the journal entries about what the work costs and what it gives back, and the occasional thought that doesn't fit anywhere else.
I built it because social feeds eat everything and remember nothing, and the stories from this small, loud, impossible country deserve a place that holds.
Recent Work
Ten years, twenty productions, and a simple rule that has never failed me: anarchy inspires the art, precision delivers it to the audience.
Cuerpo de Cristo
This musical epic pulls you into the most powerful story ever told: the Passion of Christ, seen through the eyes of those who knew him, loved him, and lost him.
Peter Pan Sale Mal
After the disaster of their last show, the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society is back with a riskier production: Peter Pan. The director swears that this time, they'll put on real theater.
Vuela El Salvador
El Salvador’s most dramatic landscapes unfold all around you in this sensory-driven flight experience that captures the nation’s soul from above.
